What motivated you to join Tshikovha Green and Climate Change Advocates? Tshikovha Green offers a dynamic environment where I can apply my skills in environmental sciences while also learning from experienced professionals in the field. The chance to gain experience and develop my expertise in environmental advocacy and assessment is incredibly appealing.

How did your academic background prepare you for your current role at the organization? My coursework provided a foundation in key environmental concepts such as environmental regulations, impact assessment methodologies and policy. Which helps in ensuring that assessments comply with legal requirements and standards. This knowledge is essential for preparing legally sound reports.

Can you describe a recent project you have worked on here that you found particularly interesting or challenging? Chipcor developers. The experience was interesting and quite bit challenging because I was not sure of what I was doing until my project leader stepped in then things became better.

What unique skills or perspectives do you bring to the team at Tshikovha? Data collection, Data analysis and Report writing.

How do you see your role impacting the organization’s mission of advocating for climate change? I will contribute by gathering data and information related to climate change trends, this information will help in understanding broader impacts of climate change and helps in creating mitigation measures.

What key learning experience have you had since joining Tshikovha Green and Climate Change Advocates? I have gained insights on how environmental legislations and principles work and implemented. This includes learning about the importance of environmental authorization and the application process.

How do you balance the theoretical knowledge from your studies with the practical demands of your job? Understanding how the theoretical knowledge from school apply to my work. When conducting environmental assessments, I always refer back to the principles and methodologies that I have studied at school..

Have you encountered any unexpected challenges in your role? How did you address them? Yes, I have encountered some challenges. Finding unfamiliar methodologies and theories. I address this problem by researching about it and discuss it with others to get better understanding.

What are your long-term career goals, and how does your position here align with those ambitions? To Be qualified and competent Environmental assessment practitioner. With my current job as an EAP intern, I will be able to choose what I want to specialise in after the internship as I am doing all the parts of environmental assessment..

How do you stay updated with the latest developments in environmental policy and climate change advocacy? By doing continuous research about climate change and trends.
